The Yoga Instructors Network (YIN) of Sacramento is an informal network of Sacramento area YOGA instructors. In April 1988, a handful of Sacramento Area Yoga Instructors gathered at the home of Theodora Wilner to discuss issues of relevance to the Sacramento Yoga Community.

Five years later, the YIN mailing list now includes over 60 instructors. We meet three times a year at YOGA studios throughout the area to promote YOGA classes, workshops, trainings, & events, and to practice Asana and Meditation techniques from different traditions.

YIN is committed to advancing the fundamental spiritual principles of YOGA practice.

In 2004, YIN became a dues-paying membership organization. With a small treasury and strong leadership, YIN is now able to develop meaningful projects such as this website, aimed at unifying the community of Sacramento YOGA instructors and improving access to quality YOGA instruction.

In 2005, as part of YIN’s mission to increase the professionalism of its members, YIN asked that members sign a code of conduct. This creates a mutually advantageous system for insuring safe practice for YOGA students in the area.

YIN honors and welcomes Sacramento Area YOGA Instructors of all traditions.
