Mission Statement

The Yoga Instructors’ Network (YIN) of Sacramento is an informal network of Sacramento Area YOGA Instructors. Our mission is to share information that is of mutual benefit in promoting the practice of YOGA.

We meet at different YOGA locations to:
  1. Share information on current YOGA “happenings”
  2. Promote our own classes, workshops, and special events
  3. Discuss pertinent global topics, such as Insurance coverage, “Yoga Alliance,” service projects, etc.
  4. Request substitute teachers and other favors for our classes and students
Practice Asana and Meditation techniques: Learn poses from different traditions
  5. Recognize network members who are ill or in need

  6. Celebrate each others’ successes
In so doing, we aim to:
  7. Unify the community of Sacramento Yoga Instructors.

  8. Increase the professionalism of our members.
  9. Facilitate communication about YOGA issues and events.
  10. Improve community access to YOGA instruction.
  11. Honor YOGA Instructors of all traditions.
  12. Advance the fundamental spiritual principles of YOGA practice.
